My Mission
I believe everyone has the capacity to heal, my job is to help you get there. As a therapist, I won't pretend to know all the answers, or more about life than you do. I can't give you advice, but I can help you work through options so you can make the best decisions for you. As a clinician and a person, I am constantly learning and try to use my voice to empower those I have the honor of working alongside.
My goal is to provide a safe and structured space to help you heal. My background is in supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence, but I also enjoy working with grief, codependency, burnout, and trauma recovery of all kinds.
I am excited to be offering EMDR consulting at this time-the modality has been life changing for both myself and many of the clients I have been lucky enough to work with!

What I Provide
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR is an approved and effective treatment to help people recover from trauma, depression and anxiety disorders. Â
EMDR helps resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain, and does not require talking in detail about the issue or completing homework. For more information check out EMDRIA.org.
About Me
I’m a 2007 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia and a 2014 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Masters of Arts in Counseling and Guidance. I am clinically licensed to practice in both Kansas and Missouri. Additionally, I am trained in EMDR and have undergone supervision to be EMDR Certified through EMDRIA. I have over 7 years of experience helping clients heal utilizing EMDR, and am currently a consultant in training for EMDR. I am also certified in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and have completed the 150 hour training in play therapy (including techniques in sand tray therapy). I love to use art, humor, and sand tray (a visual modality of therapy) to help people heal. I am also an avid reader and try to be always learning which helps me best serve my clients. I am passionate about EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing)-because of the amazing healing I’ve witnessed as a provider. If past trauma is holding you back from living the life you deserve, I would love to be considered an option to help on your path to healing!
When I'm not being a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs (preferably outside in nice weather). I also love a good book, strong coffee, and a good laugh with friends!
